This production takes us on a bizarrely surreal theatrical journey in which high-tech and low-tech, prosaic reality and metaphysical mystery, life and death all collide. Ringing phones, punch line zingers and awkward comedy were in abundance at this weekend's performance of Dead Man's Cell Phone. For Jean, a single woman headed for 40, the death of a total stranger changes her life completely. There are only a few places where there is no ringing. At least they were delicious at the Fourth Annual YUPES Crawfish Boil at Firehouse Saloo. But not in Silver Spring Stage's production of Dead Man's Cell Phone where the phone is ringing non-stop.
